SCSA Annual Safety Awards

Every year, the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) is proud to honour individuals, companies, and committees, for their commitment to promoting effective health and safety management systems in the residential and commercial building construction industry in Saskatchewan. The SCSA presents these awards at the SCSA Annual General Meeting in February. All award recipients also receive recognition in various SCSA online and offline publications and promotions, including the SCSA Safety Advocate and Saskatchewan Business magazine.

All nomination questionnaires, forms, and letters must be fully completed, signed, and submitted to the SCSA Executive Assistant at eadmin@scsaonline.ca on or before December 30 of each year to be considered for the SCSA Annual Safety Awards; presented annually at the SCSA AGM in February of the following year. Corporate Leadership in Safety Award: This award is given to a member company recognizing its dedication and outstanding contribution to the enhancement of health and safety in their region. One company is from each of the SCSA Regional Safety Committees are eligible for this award. Safety Practitioner Awards: This award is given in recognition of an individual’s commitment and leadership to the enhancement of health and safety in the workplace and their dedication and outstanding contribution to the success of the Regional Safety Committee in their region. One individual from each of the SCSA Regional Safety Committees are eligible for this award. Congratulations to our 2016 Safety Practitioner Award Winners: Brian Hilderman - RH Electric Ltd. - Yorkton Regional Safety Committee;  Jason McLeod - North Ridge Development Corporation - Saskatoon Regional Safety Committee; Jeff Chochrane - Asiil Enterprises Ltd. - Prince Albert Regional Safety Committee.

Regional Safety Committee Distinguished Progress Award: This award is given to a Regional Safety Committee in the province to recognize its dedication and outstanding contribution to the promotion and improvement of health and safety in the construction industry. One Regional Safety Committee in the province is eligible for this award. Congratulations to our 2016 Regional Safety Committee Distinguished Progress Award Winners: Lakeland Regional Safety Committee.
