A Win-Win Partnership is Formed
REGINA, SK, October 20, 2017 – The Great One, Wayne Gretzky, is generally credited with saying, “a good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.” The newly formed partnership with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) will help to not only put the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) in the rural communities where their members are, but also where a number of those business owners and the people that they employ in the construction industry spend time their time in the winter months . . . in the local hockey arena.
SCSA President, Collin Pullar, elaborates, “The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association is excited to partner with the SJHL and the local communities of which they are a part of. One of our goals is to connect with Saskatchewan businesses and people, where they come together, and help them reach their goals of fewer injuries wherever they live, work and play. The collaboration with the SJHL allows us to bring the business case for safety in construction to centers throughout the province. We help companies working toward Mission: Zero - zero injuries, zero fatalities, zero suffering.”
Over the course of the 2017-2018 season, the SCSA will be running a series of safety messages on the digital displays in each of the 12 communities that host SJHL teams. These safety messages will also appear on the newsfeeds and social media channels of both the SJHL and SCSA.
“As the SCSA’s Values Statement is about collaboration and partnerships, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has the same desire to create long term collaboration and partnerships with our corporate supporters like the SCSA. The SJHL aligns itself with creating knowledge regarding hockey and creating strong networks like the SCSA does for its members. Both the SCSA and the SJHL agree on having high standards in providing each of their members and players the best opportunity to be successful. As the President of the SJHL, I believe this is the start of a long term partnership with the SCSA,” says SJHL President, Bill Chow.
