Congratulations to our 2017 SCSA Safety Award Winners!

Every year, the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) is proud to honour individuals, companies, and committees, for their commitment to promoting effective health and safety management systems in the residential and commercial building construction industry in Saskatchewan. The SCSA presents these awards at the SCSA Annual General Meeting in February. All award recipients also receive recognition in various SCSA online and offline publications and promotions, including the SCSA Safety Advocate and Saskatchewan Business magazine.

2017 SCSA Safety Award Winners

Corporate Leadership in Safety Award: 
This award is given to a member company recognizing its dedication and outstanding contribution to the enhancement of health and safety in their region. One company is from each of the SCSA Regional Safety Committees are eligible for this award. Congratulations to our 2017 Corporate Leadership in Safety Award Winners:

  • C&S Builders Ltd. - Moose Jaw region; Elite Metal Builders - Swift Current region;
  • Pryme Construction - Yorkton/Esterhazy region;
  • RH Electric - Yorkton/Esterhazy region

Safety Practitioner Award:
This award is given in recognition of an individual’s commitment and leadership to the enhancement of health and safety in the workplace and their dedication and outstanding contribution to the success of the Regional Safety Committee in their region. One individual from each of the SCSA Regional Safety Committees are eligible for this award. Congratulations to our 2017 Safety Practitioner Award Winners: 

  • Brian Hilderman, RH Electric - Yorkton/Esterhazy region
  • Karon Shulson, CEDA Specialty Services LP - Estevan region
  • Tim Cooper, Thorpe Industries Ltd. - Prince Albert region

Regional Safety Committee Distinguished Progress Award: 
This award is given to a Regional Safety Committee in the province to recognize its dedication and outstanding contribution to the promotion and improvement of health and safety in the construction industry. One Regional Safety Committee in the province is eligible for this award. Congratulations to our 2017 Regional Safety Committee Distinguished Progress Award Winners: 

  • Lakeland Regional Safety Committee
